Just to be a total pic spammer tonight, here are a few of my favorite shots from the concert itself. The audio from most of this tour is available (to download, and on CD), so my copy of the San Francisco concert will be in my hands in a few days (I went for the CD, since I have a dial-up connection). woot woot! Good times. I hope all the banter is on there, not just the songs, since that's the best part (well, the music is awesome, too, but you know... jokes are good). ( 7 photos, again, not huge )It's too bad I only took a couple of rolls with me to the show, plus the half-used one in my camera (left the rest of my stockpile at the hotel), because some really funny stuff happened after I ran out (and there were chances for some beautiful portraits during bows, too). Well, next time I see them, I'll be prepared for that. ;) Tags: barenaked ladies, bnl, san francisco feeling: happy

I thought it was high time I post more stuff from the December 14 Barenaked Ladies show in San Francisco. Here are some photos I took, and some random details about meeting them. I want to mention something I forgot to before: the 'moment' of sorts Ed and I had when we took our photo. Eileen was getting my camera ready to take the shot, and I said to Ed, "a mish-mash of cameras" (since she was holding both hers and mine at once). Then she asked something about it (just where to look through, if I remember right). Ed goes, "Wow, imagine that, an old school camera" (the only one there that wasn't digital... seriously). I said "Yeah, with film you have to get developed and everything." He laughed (best. laugh. ever.) and said "Wowwww" in the tone of voice you'd use while seeing like, a museum exhibit. *squeee* We said a few more words to each other on the same topic, because neither of us can let a joke go (ha ha), but that's the part I remember really well. So, here are some meet and greet shots. I'll write a bit of the story under the photos as we go along, here. ;) ( six photos below, but they're reasonably sized, so loading shouldn't be an issue )Tags: barenaked ladies, bnl, san francisco feeling: amused

My BNL seat assignment finally arrived via email today (gee, only three weeks late... psh). I was really freaking out about it; not so much because I cared where I was sitting, but because I feared something had gone wrong, and I wouldn't be let in at all. phew, am I ever relieved! Main Floor section 2 (center section... sweet) row R, seat 6 (that's one row closer than it sounds, because, for some reason, that section starts at "B," not "A"). ( seating chart with 'I am here' arrow )Tags: barenaked ladies, bnl feeling: relieved

Two things, firstly, I just saw this on the Barenaked Ladies' blog, and thought of you, i_amthecosmos: Hey Ed, I know you wrote a song named "Never Love Again" toguether with Taylor Hanson. Where can I listen to it? Thanks! Asked by Fernanda and answered by Ed on Thursday, October 20You'll have to ask Taylor. I love this track. We did a really beautiful demo of the track right after we wrote it (Donny Brown was the 3rd writer). It's a great song. Taylor is really incredible. I was blown away by his sense of song. I had a good time writing this song, so I hope it sees the light of day at some point. Also, let me casually mention... I just got a floor seat to the BNL show in December!! A fellow fan on their message board gave me a link to a presale a San Francisco radio station (KFOG) was having, and I bought my ticket! woot woot! For now, it just says "reserved main floor... seats will be assigned next week." I know that's pretty standard for presales, so that's cool. FLOOR!
