YOUR FAVORITE SINGER/BAND IS: Color Me Badd ALBUMS1. What is your fave album of theirs? "Awakening," although I LOVE most of "Time and Chance" 2. Least fave album? "Now & Forever," even though a few of my favorite songs of theirs are on it. 3. Fave song? "Wildflower," I think. Hard to say. 4. Least fave song? umm... "Heartbreaker," probably. Loved it when I was 12. 5. Do you own multiple copies of any of their albs? Yes, because there are import versions with extra tracks. 6. What is the first album of theirs you got on its release date? "Time and Chance" 7. Any side projects you've purchased? Yes, Bryan Abrams and Kevin "KT" Thornton's solo albums, and pretty much every song Sam Watters ever wrote for anyone. When Mark Calderon's music comes out, I'll get that, too. VIDEOS1. Own any of their DVDs? DVDs weren't available during CMB times. They released an official VHS, though. 2. Fave music video of theirs? "Choose" 3. Least fave music video of theirs? "Heartbreaker," it's so dark, you can't see anything. 4. Fave movie they've been in (if any)? They haven't been in any, but their songs have. 5. Favorite video look they've had? I like the "All 4 Love" outfits a lot. PICTURES1. How many pictures of this singer/band are on your computer, if any? On this computer, none yet (it's new). On the old computer, like... hundreds. 2. Favorite pics (feel free to link 'em here): Honestly, the ones I took, because of the memories. 3. Best fashion of theirs: Sam's black leather jacket with words on it is my favorite of all time!! 4. Photo of them that makes you laugh: Very many, actually. 5. Photo that makes you think WTF? There was a pinup in a teen mag of them holding Super Soaker water guns. Umm... ok. CONCERTS1. Ever seen them live? Yes - How many times? Only four. :( 1991, 1992, 1997, and 1998. - Best concert memory? Meeting my closest friend at a show. And, of course, meeting them! 2. Ever met them? If not, what would it be like, do you think? Yes, thankfully. Awesome! Ironically, I spent the least time with my favorite guy. 3. If you could hear them play any song live, what would it be? "Close to Heaven" ETC1. What's your favorite thing you own that is related to them? Again, probably my photos/scrapbooks. 2. Have anything signed by them? Yes, including a big cardboard poster. 3. Have you made any friends fans of theirs? Yes! My closest friend, Diane. And a few people who are no longer friends, ha ha. Tags: color me badd, survey feeling: nostalgic

Color Me Badd was on that 1990s station again ('I Wanna Sex You Up'), and this time, on the facts they show, it said "Sam Watters of Color Me Badd has written songs for Anastacia, Jessica Simpson, and Celine Dion." Awesome to have Sam acknowledged for once. He's the only one who had a personal fact posted, by the way... the rest of the facts were like, which CMB songs hit number one, what year their albums came out, etc. hee hee hee! /12-year-old fangirl Tags: color me badd, sam watters feeling: bouncy hearing: Shanice - "I Love Your Smile"

I've grown so sick of rumors, outright lies, and misconceptions over the years about Color Me Badd, and particularly, their split. I don't really talk much about what I knew/know, about them, because I feel some things are better left as a part of friendships I've had, and still have. Some things are just not for broadcast. I can't even tell you how painful it has been for me, a person who knew what was really going on most of the time, to hear the way things have been spun over the years - especially here on the internet. I've been the owner of several popular Color Me Badd websites over the years (including a domain), and have had to close them all over drama that comes up. People feel the need to dig ancient history up quite a bit in that "fandom," let me tell you. Especially when they don't know what they're talking about. Why do people always get the most angry/jealous/petty over things that never happened? LOL! That will always continue to amuse me. I have been called a liar, whore, and much worse, more times then I care to mention over misunderstandings, jealousy, mistaken identity, rumors, and just people being stupid. Even something as simple as *NSYNC having opened for them (which is addressed in this article) -- I've been called a liar so many times over this one, it's not even funny. I know it happened, because I was a part of the "scene," so to speak, at the time. I didn't make it up! I didn't dream it! This article, sent to me by my friend Gabbie, is the real deal. If you want to know anything about Color Me Badd, the music industry in general, my life in the late 1990s, or the show "Man Band," this should be read. Click here (opens in a new window)Sorry about the ramblings, here, but I've just held this rant in for so long, it had to come out eventually. Tags: color me badd, me feeling: grateful

I somehow missed this bit of information... "Man Band"story from here For half a decade Boy Bands ruled the airwaves, maintaining a strange hold on their bustling, female audience and just as quickly they faded from the spotlight. Now, all grown up, VH1 has decided to bring members of these teenage heartthrobs together in the new reality series "Man Band." Living together under one roof, five boy band legends including Bryan Abrams (Color Me Badd), Rich Cronin (LFO), Chris Kirkpatrick ('N Sync) and Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees) will be challenged to create new music, a dynamic stage show and then perform as a new pop group all of which begs the question "Can lightening strike twice?"
"Man Band" is executive produced by Troy Searer and John Foy for Tijuana Entertainment, Tony Harding and Kennedy for Kandokid Productions and Jim Ackerman for VH1. Christian McLaughlin is the supervising producer and Michael Hirschorn serves as Executive Producer for VH1.
DUDE!! Bryan and Chris living together, and it actually being on tv? I fear I shall awaken to find it was just a dream. That is just TOO awesome! :-D ha! I know they partied together when CMB and *NSYNC toured together briefly (on the "festival" show scene in like, 1998), but wow... Talk about a show I'll watch religiously! Bryan is practically family to me, and Chris, well, I guess he kind of is, too, just in a less direct way. ;) *EDIT: I just noticed this mentioned on kirkpatrick.nu. Sorry about that, kariyack. See what I get for not clicking links? :-D ha! Tags: color me badd, nsync feeling: giggly
